A blast from the past....this was written in 2005. i liked it then, not to sure about now.
I remember her
Sitting, eating pixy-sticks
and chewing bubble gum
Until jaws became numb
Of hands on hips
Her making duck lips
While calling bra poppin
Hair pulling little boys dumb
Watching as her beret filled pig tails
flew wildly into the air
as she jumped double-dutch
legs pumping rhythmically up and down
her feet the rope never touched
the girls sang the cadence
"er’body, er’body, come on in
just one miss…and you take my end"
how we talked over happy meals
and ice cream cones
sharing kids dreams and stolen kisses
holding hands as we floated home
but that was then…..
before gloss covered lips
and thicky thick hips
short shirts that failed to conceal
ever expanding breast
before she was exposed to hair weave, colored eyes
and the bling bling scene
she started having crystal dreams and escalade wishes
adopted the name champagne
cause she left brothers and sistas
feeling bubbly and tipsy
she learned to do freaky shyt while rotating her hips
that keep dicks stiff and pussy’s hot
thus ensuing, the money would not stop
her beauty and body being her pass
to never ending parties and a lavish lifestyle
Prada and Gucci became her friends
Her thought pattern was not on later
But on right here, right now
but that was then……
her face become contorted
when thinking of babies aborted
from the seeds of invisible faces
made in expensive and unknown places
by way of karma sutra positions
and the selling of her soul
a process through which she grew old
and those memories in her mind became cold
she is twenty-nine but her eyes show forty
those same eyes tell an unpublished story
a cinematic epic for all to see…
all you need is too look deep enough
those that once worshipped her
no longer come to her alter with offerings of devotion
she is no longer the queen of the court,
her place is that of just another face in the crowd
that is her now
I remember her
Sitting, eating pixy-sticks
and chewing bubble gum
Until jaws became numb
That was her then
that’s how I will remember her
now

uhh this is some damn good stuff brotha...
i like the repeating of the beginning at the end, in fact i would of added a lil more...
"sharing kid dreams and stolen kisses..."
sigh if it was still that easy or that simple...
Very nice and sad.
