this a entry from Wed that didn't post for some reason.
ok...so this is day 8 without power but the power crew showed up this morning.....YAY!! Shaved at work this morning cause I'm going to see the Roots, Talib and the Pharcyde tonight....power or no power at the house! ok, that's not the ONLY reason I shaved, I was starting to look like a crackhead.
hooefully there will be power at the house after the concert. if not, I'm sleepin in the car!
to my people in NY and Cali... be strong!

day 7 without power
peace and blessings,
ok, here are a couple of things I have learned while being without power for seven days:
1. spoiled meat smells REALLY REALLY bad!
2. cold showers feel good.
3. even though you have to go to work, you can re-charge everything that needs re-charging.
4. I hate listening to music on the radio.
5. my mp3 player and cell phone have been very very good to me!
6. cold showers feel REALLY REALLY good on 89 degree days
7. I'm addicted to the TV. someone tell me what happened on the 4400.
8. fast food can get very boring.
9. the air-conditioner is a friend, I miss very badly.
10. cold showers REALLY REALLY REALLY feel good on 90 degree days
someone send power!

ps..wondering why I didn't go to a hotel? 1. booked up. 2. charging double the normal rate....the bastards!

my crazy night
ast night, a storm rolled through st.louis knocking out the power in most of the city AND the county.
lights went off and on at work before finally going out....went home early. high winds knocked down tree's but no damage to the house.
spent last night getting comfy with the dark and the heat....well, I did have some candles. I also had my mp3 player and some portable speakers. so, it wasn't that bad.
woke up this morning still without power at home....but the job had power, dammit! I brought everything that could be recharged to work today just in case there was no power tonight.
that was my night....how was yours?

I didn't mean to call you out, please forgive a brother. I do feel bad. I didn't get the phone message until AFTER I read your comments (im on of those that won't answer unknown numbers) in my blog. so if you will allow me to buy you a big tall glass of.....water with extra ice as a peace offering, I would be grateful!

update
peace and blessings,
its been a minute since my last update but my on-line access comes by way of my Treo phone. so, forgive me for not coming through and hitting blogs as often as I once had.
umm, let's see how I can say this:
plane ticket to Austin....is purchased!!! I come in Wed afternoon and leave Sun Morning. I can't wait to get to Texas...so I can meet ALL of YOU good peoples, meet old friends, make new ones and listen to some fiyah poetry!!
so get ready Texas....the SOUL is coming!

im really slackin with this posting thing. ok, quick update:
1. Got another tattoo when i came back home from Southern Fried. this time it was my daughters name on my left arm
2. Survived the "All Black Party" thrown at Club Dreams by Loose Cannon Productions (the follow up to the "All White Party")...who were letting ladies in for free AND giving away $20 to all the sistas that showed up in all black! the line was CRAZY long! then Slim (from Loose Cannon) and Murphy Lee got on stage and started throwing MORE money into the crowd.....must be nice to have it like that.
3. this weekend, is the 3 The Hard Way party featuring....Nelly, Usher and Jermaine Dupree! once again, its gonna be crazy! there is a rumor going around that Janet 'Ms Jackson if ya nasty' Jackson will be coming through...i might not be working the door THAT night!
4. havent written in four months

Ok, you can see i have a thing for tattoos....as of this posting, i have 11 with more to come. add to that 6 piercings! and to think...for years i was scared of needles but NOW...it aint nothing but a thing! Most of the tats i have are African based (no Chinese symbols, no dragons or butterflies). in the future, im thinking of getting an Egyptian inspired back piece!
so, does anyone else have tattoos or thoughts on getting one? if so...share with a brother.
oh yea, i will be flying down to Texas for Nationals....13, return a brothers phone call.
