Gratitude Wednesday

im grateful for:

the Creator...giving me another day to enjoy the air, sun and clouds. the wind has never felt so good, the sun so warm or clouds so white....i dont always remember to give thanks....THANK YOU.

Courtney (my daghter)...for the poem she wrote about our cousin Dionne who passed two weeks ago. im so proud of her!

my mother and daughter...the where i come from and the where im going. the love they both give me.

my family...the three male Cousins still here in St.Louis are planning to hangout on Sunday. something we havent done in a while.

faith...still havent heard from my son's mother but im not giving up yet, something will give.

warm weather...spring is here.

Poets and poetry...keeps me moving and motivated when the walls are closing in.

phone tag...one day we will slow our worlds down long enough to talk.

text messages...that make me smile.

The Old School...MCM jackets, parachute pants, levi's, African Medallions, Gumby Cuts, High Top Fades, Thick Rope Chains, Rappers who were lyricist....add on in your blog if you like.

for YOU...for taking the time out to read this blog...THANK YOU

Blessings...seen and unseen. those blessings that went ungranted, for the Creator knows whats best for me.

good list. i miss my cousins... we were so close growing up.. Life gives to us, slows us down, and takes from us.. i pray i learn to slow down, before all is taken from me... your daughter and your mother see you how you are learning to see yourself.. isn't pretty cool how things work out that way? keep writing. i'll keep playing phone tag..
