Its 3:36am in the morning and im just getting into the house. i have to be at work at 6:30am. so, if its this late why am i up making an entry int this blog?
well, its because i went to see Erykah Badu last night!! seeing Sister Badu in concert is always a moving experience. The words and energy she brings to the stage is refreshing....the sister can touch your soul!! this was my third time seeing Sister Badu in concert and of course the show was HOT....but this time its was very special. it was special because...
I GOT TO MEET THE SISTER!!
not just a meet and greet. NOPE,we chilled on the TOUR BUS! i was able to see the "after the show" Erykah. see Erykah, the mother. Erykah, the "im a normal person". i was able to keep my inner child under control and not embarrass myself....cause i loves me some Badu. Erykah, Jill and Meshell are my favorite CURRENT female artist. one could help but feel at peace being around the sister...i can honestly say, she has a beautiful spirit. open, free and loving....it could have been because the person that who i went with, is like family to Erykah.
i was able to meet her brother, with whom i share a name with, and her children. her daughter Puma, is funny. our conversation didnt center around music but life....everyday life. it was an honor meeting the sister and is a memory i will carry with me till the Most High, calls me home!!
