Since Nationals, my life as been pretty much a mess. of those i once trusted, im starting to wonder how many i really can. it takes a LOT for people to pull information out of me about me, which has lead others to call me; 'guarded' and 'secretive'...to a degree, i am. having had your trust in people 'blow up' in your face on numerous occasions, would lead one to become that way. maybe one day i will change...but i will not apologize for being 'nonchalant' or 'detached'...it comes from lessons learned. but when i do open up and let you in...you will have a friend that will be...the driver of the white bronco for life!
im grateful for:
the Creator....giving me another day to enjoy LIFE
Cookie....making it to high school and not making me kill her.
Her Mother....our peace, is good for HER and US.
My Parents....for being the here, there and everywhere..all these years.
Poetry....the poem that i gave birth to yesterday and those still waiting for light.
Nationals....minus the drama, it was fun. finally wearing the POET badge, YES!
Geneva Holliday....thank you for the shout out in HEAT.
Literati....my new favorite yahoo game.
Neeeee Oooooo....being back. i want to visit before the year is out.
The Elders....those gone and those alive. thank you for your sacrifices
the Creator....for blessings seen and unseen. prayers answered and those not...you know whats best for me.

i feel ya on the trust issue. i still find knives in my back from time to time lol.
very happy things are getting better for you with her mom
yes to fam and new words...and thankyou
I've learned that it doesn't hurt to have a knife or two in the back; it's what truly lets us know we are alive. G.O.D. only let’s our enemies scratch the skin’s surface, even though it feels like they hit “white meat and bone”. (hahahahaha) Other’s behaviors are not against us, they are done with their best interests, not ours, at heart. Interests we don’t always understand in that moment. Human frailties are such, we are selfish and self seeking. The bible speaks of man being born with evil intent, and fighting his nature throughout his entire life. For example, a drowning man may often drown the person attempting to save him. Not purposefully, simply instinct taking over. Remember Copa, it’s never about us, just another’s instinct taking over. Kind of how your instincts are taking over. Loves ya.
Ditto with the trust...sometimes the pain is necessary in order to know...AND sometimes, the risk keeps us from taking the chance. I have the same issue you do, AND Im totally afraid that I will lose/miss someone in my life because of it--I know I already have. I feel you tho...its a crappy battle.
ditto on things gettin better with mom
